This was some pictures of my little apartment about 14 years ago. It didn't have a fireplace but I wanted a mantle to decorate. I bought the old mantle at a little antique store in Vicksburg, Ms. It was covered in layers and layers of white paint. It took forever to get off. I wanted it stained dark cherry. I think it turned out pretty. You can see that I loved PINK back then, too. I still have the old mantle in storage. One day, I want to get it out of storage and guess what I want to do with it? Paint it back WHITE of course.

Old Fashioned Christmas Tree

This was one Christmas that we decorated the whole Christmas tree with glass ornaments and gold satin bows. It was so pretty and old fashioned. The tree was 8 or 9 feet tall. It was real and I ended up leaving it up til February. I tried to keep it watered because I was so busy with work that I didn't have time to take it down. My dad came over and helped me get it down. Needles went everywhere!

Can't wait to decorate!

Another tree that we decorated at The Mole Hole. I found this picture when I was digging through an old box of photos this morning. I can't wait to decorate my trees this year. As soon as my floor is finished in my den...the decorating will begin! A couple of days ago, I picked up a china hutch that I had purchased at the vendor shop where I have 2 booths. Seems like I always spend the money that I make on my booths on things from other vendor's booths. It is so pretty and I REALLY needed it. I got a great deal on it because the lady was closing her booth and she didn't want to take it with her. I was so lucky! I would much rather have and old hutch than a new one. Of course, I'm gonna paint it...creamy white. I will post befores and afters on my other blog.

I just wanted to show a couple of funny pictures taken during the holidays a few years ago. This was my puppy 'Chico'. I dressed him in a little Christmas sweater that I took off of a teddy bear that I bought at the Dollar Tree. It fit him perfectly. I wish that I could dress that cheap!! This is Cole and Chico in front of the Christmas tree. Cole always loved to make silly faces whenever I would take his picture! He doesn't do that anymore...he is too cool for that now! He probably won't like me putting this picture on my blog either! LOL

I think he was in the 5th grade. He has always been so handsome. I ended up giving Chico to my step-daughter Erin. She already had one like him and she needed a friend. Chico was a little handful.

Nightgowns and baby boys

I just had to post this picture of Cole when he was little. Wasn't he a doll? He had on his sister's nightgown from when she was little. They are 8 years apart. That was his Christmas teddybear hanging on the doorknob. It was kind of like a Christmas stocking. He was going over to see what Santa had left for him. He looks just like I did in this picture. I think that babies are so cute in these little gowns...so old-fashioned.

Christmas at The Mole Hole

I wanted to show this picture of a tree that we decorated one time at the gift shop that I use to manage. (The Mole Hole) We decorated it with gold and royal blue. This was outside of our store window. We were in the mall. We had so much fun at that store! We had the most beautiful things to sell. We had a great business and I miss it very much.

The good old days...

These are some Christmas trees from years ago when I was a buyer for a gift shop that I managed called The Mole Hole. I worked there for 8 years and I loved it! The lady that owned it is a very good friend of mine. We had some really fun times at that store. These pictures were taken at the Atlanta Gift Market. I loved going to market! There was so much to see. We would stay anywhere from 5 to 8 days. I miss that store so much. We would buy Christmas decorations to sell at the store. We always tried to order things that other stores didn't have. We had a lot of unusual items for sale. My boss decided to retire in 2003. I went to work for McRae's, which is now Belk. I like it too, however The Mole Hole was very unique and we had more specialty items.

We love Christmas...

This is me and Christy a few years ago at Christmas. This is our favorite holiday. We both get in the holiday spirit early. Usually right about when fall starts,we start playingChristmas music and watching Christmas movies. When she was little, she would make fun of me for playing Christmas music in my car 2 months before Christmas. I went to her house the other day and she was listening to Christmas music. I guess she got that from me!
